What does alethea mean?

The name Alethea is derived from the Greek goddess ALETHEIA, meaning truth or disclosure. It quite literally translates to “the state of not being hidden, the state of being evident”.

This is who we are

You can tell a lot about a company by the name it chooses for itself. At Alethea, we believe in shedding light on the truth and the truth is it’s time for the international education sector to meet the moment on climate action and climate justice.

Facing the hard truths is… hard.

Hard Truth:

  • The international education sector is facing a time of radical transformation and that’s a lot for all of us to process and work through.

  • Authentic justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion work must include climate action, and climate action work must be anchored in climate justice.

Easy truth:

  • Students are marching in the streets demanding change. In a QS Survey of prospective international student more than 90% said that universities should do more to be environmentally sustainable.

  • You’re not alone in facing these truths, we are here to help. Our team will work with you to understand how to get you started or accelerate your pace of transformation. Whether it’s a learning session or an emissions audit with a reduction strategy, the truth is, we want to support you.
